The international wedding of Jurgita and Jaroslav was packed with action and energy from morning preparations until late at night. Jurgita is from Lithuania and Jaroslav from Czechia. However, they share their life story in Scotland. This fact alone let me know that their wedding will full of unusual customs and national ceremonies. And it was indeed so.
Morning preparations as well as organization of the whole wedding day were directed by the wedding agency Mona in Olomouc. The place of the wedding ceremony of Jurgita and Jaroslav became the State Castle Bouzov, rightly referred to as a romantic gem of Central Moravia. The wedding ceremony in the Knight's Hall simply has its unmistakable charm and portrait wedding pictures of the newlyweds, which we then created in the castle corridors touch your soul with their romantic mystery and the play of lights.
The venue of the further course of the wedding was Dům u Parku in the city center of Olomouc. Before the owners had a chance to welcome the bride and groom with a traditional toast, we took a short break to witness the Lithuanian tradition. Groom and his groomsman had to transfer their partners over the running water. According to legend, this custom is supposed to ensure happiness and prosperity for the newlyweds.
The evening party at Dům u Parku might have been a “just” ordinary traditional wedding party. But that wasn’t our case. Jaroslav is inspired by Scottish traditional customs. When he suddenly disappeared into the Art Nouveau room for a moment to appear dressed in a "Scottish skirt" called a kilt, we all knew immediately what was to come. Traditional Scottish and Irish dance Cèilidh. After a brief instruction a melodic tones of Scottish traditional music filled the hall and the wedding guests embarked on a dynamic dance.
